Croutons

Use firm French or Artisan Bread. The bread should stand up straight when holding it upright. It if falls over, don’t use it. These can be used in French Onion Soup or as the base for a Bruschetta.

If you wanted to make croutons to top in a salad, an Artisan Bread would work better than French Bread.  Cut them into 1″ square pieces and follow the same directions.  You may also add seasonings to these.
