Air Fryer Chicken Wings

I was lucky enough to have my son and his girlfriend gift me an Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360.  I haven’t had the room to use it until now.  I was pleasantly surprised how good these Air Fryer Chicken Wings were.

The first thing you need to do is to pat the chicken wings dry.  Next, prepare the dry rub coating for the wings. Dredge each chicken wing in the dry rub and set aside.

You will need to get the Air Fryer ready.  Place the drip tray on the bottom of the air fryer.  Place the baking pan under where you will put the crisper tray lined with aluminum foil for easier clean up. Lightly spray the  aluminum foil with a non-stick cooking spray.

Lightly spray the coated chicken wings on both sides.  Place the coated chicken wings in crisper basket.

Air Fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 to 40 minutes turning halfway through the cooking time.

Prepare the Lemon Parmesan Butter Sauce.  Melt the butter in the microwave.  Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Dip each cooked chicken wing in the sauce and serve.

One thing I have to say is that I don’t miss the deep fried version.  I can’t wait to do more recipes in the Air Fryer.

Crispy Air Fried Chicken Wings

Ingredients
  • 12 chicken wings

  • Dry Rub Coating for Wings
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried crushed parsley
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • Pinch thyme

  • Lemon Parmesan Butter Sauce
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ Lemon (Juice)
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 cup grated pecorino romano
  • 1 ½ teaspoon lemon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed dried parsley
Directions
  • Step 1 Pat each chicken wing dry.
  • Step 2 Prepare the dry rub coating for the wings. Dredge each chicken wing in the dry rub and set aside.
  • Step 3 Air Fryer 360:  Place the drip tray on the bottom of the air fryer.  Place the baking pan under where you will put the crisper tray.  Line the crisper try with aluminum foil for easier clean up. Lightly spray the aluminum foil with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 4 Lightly spray the chicken wings on both sides being carefully not to remove the coating.  Place the coated chicken wings in crisper basket.
  • Step 5 Air Fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 35-40 minutes turning halfway through the cooking time.
  • Step 6 Prepare the Lemon Parmesan Butter Sauce.  Melt the butter in the microwave.  Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 7 Dip each cooked chicken wings in the sauce.
  • Step 8 Serve immediately.
