Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Chestnuts and Onions
A great side dish for the holidays!

Cut each Brussels Sprout in quarters. ;;Boil the Brussels Sprout in a medium pot with salted water. Drain and set aside.;;Rough chop the bacon. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until nice and crispy. Remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate and set aside. Reserve the bacon grease. ;;Add 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease back to the pan. Add the chopped red onion and saute on a low heat until translucent. Do not let the onions get dark brown or burn.;;Add butter and 1 additional tablespoon of bacon grease.;;Add the cooked Brussel Sprouts, bacon and chestnuts to the pan. Turn the heat up to a medium-high heat and stirring frequently, saute until everything is a golden brown.;;Season with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.;;Serve immediately.;[/lt_recipe]
